Vienna Art Week: Curating & Suspension of Disbelief
In November 2016, our founding director travelled to Vienna to take part, with a presentation on ‘Curating & Suspension of Disbelief’, in a panel discussion on curatorial approaches to the beautiful. Seeking Beauty in Art brought together five international curators, who addressed the ambivalent nature of beauty in the context of art, how it can be found in what might be considered ugly, and how different interpretations of what is beautiful define contemporary curatorial strategies.
